We just picked up this stone a few months ago from a rockhound in Arizona who didn't want to give a more specific locality. He claimed he collected it himself in Arizona, and used the term "Melarite" to describe it. I can't find a specific definition of the term, so if anybody out there has more info on this material, please let me know.
