Kyauk-saung-Kyatpyin, Marble Ark, Mogok Township, Pyin-Oo-Lwin District, Mandalay Region, Myanmar

It is a primary ruby deposit. The marble is gray-bluish often with mica (no sphene is found). Ruby mining takes place in a typical gwè-dwin scheme reaching over 50 meters in depth. Diopsides, scapolites and spinels are also recovered in the same area.
