Ohn-bin-Kyatpyin, Marble Ark, Mogok Township, Pyin-Oo-Lwin District, Mandalay Region, Myanmar

This joint venture mine is located at the bottom of the hill adjacent to Kyauk-saung-Kyatpyin mine.

Ruby, sapphire, spinel, moonstone and zircon are mined from the alluvium, utilizing lebin and small-size open-pit mining schemes. Other gems are recovered from the numerous loos (twisted holes) in the karst topography. Most of these gems are small, below 3 carats and of low-to-medium quality. In 2003 the gem mines were closed.
